Around 25,000 residences in south-east Queensland were left experiencing outages on the start of the week after intense storm systems impacted the region, producing powerful gusts topping 109km/h.
Massive Frozen Precipitation and Broad Damage
Locals reported giant hailstones as large as seven centimeters in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that multiple regions across Queensland had been hit with significant hail.

Response teams were attempting to repair energy supply throughout the affected regions, with approximately seventy teams working to handle the widespread outages.
Victorian Climate Difficulties
Simultaneously, approximately one thousand residents in the southern state also faced power outages after the capital city experienced its heaviest rainfall in 18 months.
Rescue organizations received 598 calls for help across the area, primarily for building damage but also for downed trees and flooding.

At the height on Sunday, more than twenty-eight thousand electricity consumers in Victoria were without power.

Moist weather were forecast to persist along significant areas of Queensland's east this next several days as a weather pattern continued to attract humidity against the coast.
Tomorrow was expected to become the wettest day, with persistent thunderstorm potential anticipated across multiple regions of both states.
Health Warning
Health officials cautioned that there was an increased chance of weather-related respiratory issues across the countryside regions, especially given the ongoing climate situation.
This caution comes after previous incidents where similar conditions led to substantial respiratory problems in the region.
